Thierno Alioune Deme, Central Bank of West African States

Mr. Deme is currently the Director of the Division of Banking, Financial Establishments, and Microfinance Institutions at the National Headquarters of the Central Bank of the West African States (BCEAO) in Senegal. He is responsible for overseeing the regulation of banks and microfinance institutions. He has also been responsible for conducting the analysis of the banking and microfinance institution sectors. Mr. Deme has his Master's Degree in Economic Development and is currently a PhD candidate, both from the Centre d'Etudes et de Recherche sur le Développement International (CERDI) from Clermont Ferrand in France.
